The front living room has a lovely bay window that I’m still learning to decorate around. During our home inspection, it looked like this:
Right off the bat, we found a nice sized sectional from Craigslist and I hung new curtains. After trying a few different options of décor on the large wall behind the couch, I settled on these feather prints from Target.
It took me a few months, but eventually, I worked up the gumption to paint this room and we finally mounted the television on the wall. Just look at that dingy wall- I was so happy the day I painted over this.
This smudge on the wall to the left of the thermostat, literally drove me crazy for 5 months!
I painted the ceiling and the walls. The ceiling was painted a flat white, and the walls were painted Benjamin Moore’s Revere Pewter in an eggshell finish.
Here’s the front living room after the painting:
We mounted the tv on the wall and added these cool barn wood pieces from my grandfather’s barn with some book page wreaths that I made a few years ago.
It’s amazing what a fresh coat of paint can do for a room sometimes. The best part, it doesn’t cost very much money for a really great impact!
